It doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to make you happy. Feel happy gosh darn it! I know its hard to feel happy these days. Heck, I find myself feeling guilty sometimes when I'm happy. I found it very hard to write this week's blog post. It was difficult to find the right words. I even changed the title three times! Being that its Monday and its raining here is bad enough. Add to that a migraine and the side effects of the migraine medication I took is just really giving me the Blahs. But watching the news on the weekend really broke my heart. Again. Hatred rearing its ugly head. Again.
But I refuse to let hatred get to me. I refuse to let evil win. Love will prevail. I have seen it. I have seen love in the many Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts and photos. I'm not here to start a debate or anything like that. I'm just a human being against hatred. We all have our differences, but in the end we are all the same. We are people of Earth, and I for one, come in peace. So on days like these, I go to my happy place. My pictures. Pictures are all that remain for some people. All that's left of a special person, place or moment in time. These pictures don't have to be perfect. They don't have to be magazine or gallery worthy. Its how they make you feel that counts. Hopefully it makes you smile. Hopefully it makes you happy.
So let's share our photos. Share what makes us happy. Share what special place or person we love. I love my husband and kids, but I'm not sure they are ready to be featured on my blog. LOL This week's blog post features some random photos of mine. Not all of these photos were taken with my "fancypants" camera. Actually only one was. The rest were taken with my iPod Touch 6 (No, I don't have a cell phone. Well not one that I personally use regularly). And one of these photos got a whopping 39 Instagram likes. My highest yet! No, I don't get out much. LOL Can you guess which one was taken using my Nikon?
So, I hope that this week's blog has inspired you to spread the love. And I hope it has inspired you to take some photos to capture those special memories. No matter if its a fancy camera or a cell phone. Hey; I hear cell phones take great pictures these days. If this is your first time stopping by; don't be shy. Pull up a chair, introduce yourself, and enjoy the view from where I am...
