Hello Friends!! Can you believe another year is gone! Just flown by! I had so many plans, so many dreams!! But this year will be different right? Today I'm not going to talk about New Year's resolutions or how terrible some people think 2016 was, or what 2017 has in store. Nope! I'm one of those people who just hangs on to Christmas for as long as I can. This blog post will be short and sweet. I'm just going to share some Christmas photos (which is what I usually do, lol), most of which were taken with my very own cell phone!!
We put up the tree and various other Christmas decorations. Did a little bit of baking. Those Crock Pot Candy may not look all that appetizing, but they were a hit! I'll be making them again next Christmas. The kids decorated their gingerbread house and actually waited awhile before they had a bite! LOL And we watched Christmas movies of course! So, what presents did you get for Christmas? That's what kids always ask each other! Did you have a favourite? I have a few and none of them were expensive.
Christmas doesn't last that long for us. My husband is usually working for part of it and so am I. We still manage to visit a few friends and family. Luckily our family lives close by so we don't have to wait for Christmas to see them. We opened presents, went to church Christmas day and had Christmas dinner that evening. I made delicious turkey soup out of Christmas day leftovers. But I also love just sitting in my comfy chair in the evening and staring at the Christmas tree lights. And by the way, this tree isn't coming down until my kids agree to a family photo in front of said tree. Nothing fancy, just a picture of the four of us.
So, tell me about your Christmas holidays. Did you enjoy the hustle and bustle? Or were you just glad to get a few minutes of peace and quiet? Do you even celebrate Christmas? Do you have snow where you are for Christmas? It doesn't feel like Christmas to me if we don't have snow. Feel free to share by commenting below. Come on back in the new year to check out the view from where I am...
